Why Can’t The Morning Be Longer?
There are so many things I want to accomplish in the morning.
In the morning I feel more creative, I’m full of ideas and I’m more motivated and productive.
The morning is when I feel like I have potential.
- I want to explore new and old ideas.
- I want to work on my blog.
- I want to read other people’s blogs.
- I want to work out and get energised and feel healthy again. [*]
- I want to do word puzzles. [**]
But there is not enough time before work at 8:30am to do all those things.
Get up earlier, you say? I can manage 7am but earlier than that seems impossible. I’d have to be up at 5am to do everything I want. And to do that, and get enough sleep (I need my sleep!), I’d have to go to bed at 8pm! That’s insane, I’m 35 years old not 5/85. I also have stuff I need/want to do in the evening!
I’m just not as alive post-noon in the week, I’m tired from my job.
Often working “9-5” Mon-Fri feels like it holds me back.
[*] Want is a strong word but exercise first thing in the morning does make me feel a lot better for the rest of the day, once I get myself motivated to do it.
[**] I’m currently obsessed with the Knotwords app, I might actually have to pay for it. It’s also reawakened my desire to get back into word searches!
