I skipped a WeblogPoMo day yesterday because instead I fucked about with my blogs theme!
Deciding to do that on a random grim Thursday night, when I was already tired, brain dead and grumpy, might not have been optimal but I had a bee in my bonnet about it, and I thought it might cheer me up!
I have been inspired by the many cool websites I’ve seen in my voyages of the IndieWeb (I wish I’d saved them!) and I love messing around with CSS, so it is high time I properly implemented a child theme for my WordPress site for my experiments.
I decided to start fresh and tweak from there, and so I have a new theme (bloglo) working now. Colours are the same, and the spacey image that was my header is now background so it’s more like I’ve just rearranged the furniture at this point! Some areas like pages and pull quotes look a bit weird currently (not sure if that’s the theme or something I did!). I’ll fix those next time I have the time to work at my PC!
I would like to get the simple post heart/like working as I’ve seen others do on the IndieWeb (I first came across this on Tracy’s blog), as well as jazzing up a few other areas over time.
That’s going to have to wait though as I have a busy weekend planned, and tonight is Taskmaster and pizza night! 💕
To keep going on #WeblogPoMo2024 I have a couple of draft posts to finish about X-Men I’m hoping to get out over the next few days. We finished X-Men ’97 and I have thoughts!
