His Name Was Wren by Robert Winters

His Name WAs Wren by Robert Winters. Mini Review 4 of 5 stars Genre: Sci-fi, Child Characters Positives: + I enjoyed English village setting. + Realistic, likeable characters. Negatives: - Time jump at the start a little jarring. - I enjoyed it but I am just not super excited by it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 Stars – Excellent nostalgic children-meet-alien story!

Format: Kindle

Read: January 2023

I really enjoyed this one! It straddles YA but adults would also enjoy it, it has a slightly nostalgic vibe for classic childhood science fiction stories like ET or Aquila.

The child characters were relatable and not at all annoying! The sci-fi elements felt grounded and believable.

Overall I found it very well written, and well paced. An excellent book.

My only negative is that I just didn’t feel super jazzed about it. It’s solid but I wasn’t excited.

Recommend for ET fans!
