Work has been so fucking stressful for the last three weeks. I’ve been sleeping like shit. Feeling like shit. But that’s ok now because I’ve logged off for twelve whole days!!
I’m so excited!
I popped to Sainsbury’s to buy some celebratory Mulled wine (I love mulled wine!) and I felt like my feet were floating with the weight lifted!
I’m positively fizzing with all the possibilities for the break and the new year! Though in typical Alice fashion I have a much longer list of things I want to do than I’ll ever be able to do!
And I have a lot of embroidery to finish before Christmas, before work went mental I’d foolishly decided to make one Christmas gift… Now I have 4 days to finish it!
But that’s ok.. there are a lot of trashy Christmas movies to watch while I do it!
What else do I want to do?
- Build the new PC I know I’m getting for Christmas!
- Play some videogames (really should get back to Horizon Forbidden West!).
- Catch up on reviewing Murderbot.
- Write my review and analysis of Rouge by Mona Awad.
- Spend some time on my annual reflections (I am quite excited about doing this).
- Contact some photographers for our elopement.
- Start selling some old clothes and shoes on Vinted.
- Tidy the garden.
- Go on lots of walks.
- Make myself a workout space and a workout plan.
- Do at least one new jigsaw.
- Play some boardgames.
- Make the Rolife miniature kit I got for last Christmas.
I can’t wait to relax!
Who else has plans for a Christmas break?

Mine started today! I met a friend for lunch and then we went to see ‘Wicked.’ I’m looking at lots of time with family and friends. I’ve got a few books I wanna read and maybe some naps to be taken, too ;D. I can do without any extra snow though, as I live in the area of Northwestern PA where we got dumped on (60+ inches in the days following Thanksgiving) already so I can go without more of that XD. I also have a few more Christmas movies I wanna finish in the week ahead! Oh, and I CANNOT WAIT to see ‘A Complete Unknown’ once that’s out, too.
I love your holiday plans, too, Alice! I wish you luck on your crocheting and I hope you check off everything on your checklist :). Oh! On the boardgame note, I foresee playing lots of Walkign Dead Monopoly with my best friend, too.
