I am so glad I could take these two days off work and give my brain a break! I’m hoping it’s given me a boost to get stuck back into things tomorrow, I am definitely feeling more relaxed than I was a week ago when my Garmin watch kept telling me I was stressed 😅
I was so happy that Friday was a glorious sunny day so I could enjoy just completely relaxing in the garden. I finished listening to Breaking The Dark while I made about 6 hours of progress on the cat portrait. I will do an update post on that soon, I’m feeling good about it now!
Then Saturday we finalised out bathroom order and got a quote, last weekend we got the tiles sorted out so we’re another step closer on that.
Sunday I got some gardening done, I shared an update on that already! I’m so happy with all the colour at the moment. I also read Alias! I was so hyped about Jessica Jones after reading Breaking the Dawn that it finally got unwrapped and read after 9 years on my shelves!
And then I was even more hyped after reading that we’ve resubscribed to Marvel Unlimited and I’m flying through the issues of The Pulse tonight because I can’t get enough Jessica (or J. Jonah Jameson!). The trouble with comics I read then too fast, I want to share thoughts but I’ve got to remember to record them!
I’ve got to say it feels great to read comics again, it’s been a long time since I last did!
Today I’ve caught up on blog posts (sorry for 4 in a day folks!) and played a bit of Dragon Age Inquisition. I had that game on my mind after that shitty trailer came out for the newest game. I only played DA:I once before when it came out and I didn’t love it then, but I’m wondering if nearly a decade later when I’m not comparing it to Dragon Age Origins it might be more fun? I don’t know, so far it’s fine.
What I really have been wanting to play, after also getting hyped up about Star Wars following The Acolyte is Knights of the Old Republic but I cannot fucking find my Xbox copy! I have KOTOR 2 but no idea what happened to the original. And since I can’t get a digital copy for the 360 (I keep my 360 only so I can replay Dragon Age, KOTOR and Fable), and we have a PS4/5, plus I don’t like gaming at my desk, I don’t have another way to play it! Boo!
These kind of frustrations are why I periodically think about getting a mini gaming PC that we could hook up to the living room TV… But for how often I get the urge to play games it’s probably not worth the hassle (until Fable 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 come out..)
This weekend we also spent evenings watching all 3 Star Wars prequels, which I just have loose thoughts about that maybe I’ll get around to posting. I will say, they were not as bad as I remembered them being.. but they definitely have issues!
Anyway, time to set my alarm again for the morning! Back to my regular routine… But it’s also only a few weeks now until we have a romantic mini break away!
